Quartz Countertops
There are a lot of counter top choices available for homeowners today. Quartz ranks right at the top for beauty, longevity, durability and selection. Quartz is comparable in longevity to granite or marble while its durability is equal to or better than products like Corian® or Hi-Macs®. Engineered quartz is not a man made product, or rather its not a 100% man made product. Most quartz products are made with approximately 95% ground natural quartz and 5% resin. One of the main advantages to quartz counters besides the over the top beauty is that quartz is a non-porous material. It never needs to be sealed like granite or other stone products. It resists stains from juices and tomatoes or grapes just to name a few things. We love Granite but it can chip, quartz on the other hand is much much harder to chip or break.
Right Turn Construction has access to several types of quartz countertops. While we don’t necessarily recommend one over the other, we have found that Wilsonart, MSI, and Caesarstone are all readily available and have very broad selections of styles and colors.
